JIM CARREY’S TEN TRUTHS ABOUT LIFE

This is a very special week. A lot is going in and everything is falling in place for the next performance of  “Summer Story”, a show I created almost a year ago, together with a wonderful team of artiste, which presented me with the opportunity of exploring new “ME-s” – the writ-actor, the director, the producer. “ME – s” I had no idea they existed.

But I guess it goes the same as for a ship that leaves harbour. The ship has no idea about what lies ahead – if it was a person, it would probably imagine mostly storms and pirates, until it set sail. It goes the same for humans. They can not  realize how vast their potential is, until they leave their confort zone. Sometimes, you may need to take a leap of faith. Leave that job that just pays the bill, break up with someone you’re seeing just out of habit and find love.  Cause as Jim Carrey puts it a great commencement address  he gave to Maharishi University of Management’s class of 2014,

You could fail at what you don’t want so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love.

This speech Jim Carrey gave, I tell you, it’s worth watching. I had no idea he was such a wise guy. He says a couple of things i’m sure you know but maybe, just maybe, until now, you didn’t want to acknowledge:

1. Life doesn’t happen to you, it happens for you (and through you, I must ad)

2.  We are limitless; we can not be contained because we are the containers.  We are not our bodies; the body is just a vechicle  (but still respect it, love it and take good care of it – my advice)

3. Everything outside your body is part of you, too (what about love your neighbour as you love yourself). We are the light that shines through

4. ALL THE DECISIONS WE MAKE ARE BASED EITHER ON LOVE OR FEAR

5. Ask the Universe for what you want, no matter how huge or impossible it may seem.

6. THE EFFECT YOU HAVE ON OTHERS IS THE MOST VALUABLE CURRENCY THERE IS

7. Real peace is beyond personality or what other people think. The need for acceptance can make you invisible in this world. Risk being seen in all your glory

8. The Ego wants to keep you trapped in the Multiplex of your mind (this is a good one!)

9. Hope walks through the fire, faith leaps over it. 

10. OPEN UP THE DOOR IN YOUR HEAD AND WHEN THE DOOR OPENS IN REAL LIFE, JUST WALK THROUGH IT!

If Jim Carrey ever creates an official “Church of freedom from concern”, I’ll be the first to volunteer.
