Legendary Lauren Bacall soon to be brought back to life by a Romanian actress

Lauren Bacall vs. Roxana Condurache

Roxana Condurache, a young Romanian actress from Iasi, and former beauty queen surely knows how to use Internet – she found a German agent, used IMDB’s pro feature and landed a part coveted by hundreds of other artists: Lauren Bacall, in a auto biographic movie that focuses on the famous Bacall – Bogart love story.

Initially, she pitched for another role. The movie producer answered back suggesting she should apply for the leading role – Lauren Bacall.

“I was told before that I looked like Lauren Bacall but I wasn’t really aware about it.”

She studied for the audition the way the late actress dressed, used make up, acted. She loves challenges and chose a difficult scene – the moment Lauren Bacall finds out about Humphrey Bogart’s deadly illness. Roxana declared in an interview for adevarullive:

“Playing Lauren Bacall is beautiful and yet a great responsibility. She is a role model to me. I will watch all her movies. “

Roxana is no stranger to working with big international movie stars. “The Whistleblower” brought her a nomination for best supporting actress  to the Canadian “Oscars” and also the opportunity to work with Monica Bellucci and Rachel Weisz.

Lauren Bacall movie script is still work in progress but Roxana has already started preparing her part and works  with her movie producer via Skype. The movie is in pre-production.  The shooting is scheduled for next summer, in Ohio, USA. A budget and the lead actor are still to be confirmed.Will it be Robert Downey Jr.?
