Autumn thoughts

When I was a small child, Autumn had beautiful days, warmed by a merciful sun. The streets would be covered in a golden leaves carpet and chestnuts would  roll on the ground like dices played by a skilled hand. I would wear my shiny red shoes and let peace cuddle  into my soul. If I were to associate seasons with feelings, I would say that summer is passion, autumn is peace, winter is longing and spring is joy.

Except that this year, summer lasted longer into October, taking big bites of Autumn time and, judging by today’s weather, Winter decided to give us a preview and make us wear thick coats for the first time this year.

I want my Autumn back!
